Authorize.net
What it is:
Authorize.Net is an online payment gateway service that you pay a small monthly fee for to use. Busy online stores usually require a payment gateway such as Authorize.Net to authorize credit card transactions in real-time. You will need your merchant ID handy from your credit card processor before you can create an Authorize.net account. To use the Authorize.net payment gateway service, you must have an Authorize.net account from their website. Click here to sign up for an account.
Who its for:
Existing brick and mortar stores that wish to process payments online in addition to their brick and mortar sales. Best integration with Store-Logic, so customers never leave the store when they are checking out.
Setting it up:
Follow these instructions to configure your Store-Logic store to use Authorize.net:
- Once your account has been finalized you will be sent and API Login name and API transaction key. Record these for entry into your store admin.
- Go to the "Payment" section of your store admin in the "Operations" menu.
- Make sure that the icon next to Authorize.net is green indicating that Authorize.net is the active payment gateway.
- Click on the gear icon for Authorize.net to view the admin screen.
- Please enter the API credentials from step one into the boxes on this page. Be careful not to include any extra spaces or characters.
- When finished click "Update API". Your payment gateway is now ready to be used.
