Handling Fees
The Handling Fees section allows you to set handling fees on an entire order based on order weight or price. The fees you set up are based on weight/price scales, apply to the entire order and do not duplicate.
For example: If you wanted every item over 10 lb to have an additional fee of $2.50 you could set up a new fee rule based on weight.
Add a New Rule Based on Weight
Name: The name of the rule in your store. This is for your records only, all additional handling fees will appear as "Additional Handling" to the customer.
Type: Choose weight for weight rule
Min Weight: The minimum weight for the range of this rule. So if this rule is to apply to orders with a total weight ranging from 5-10 lb the minimum weight would be 5 lb.
Max Weight: The maximum weight for the range of this rule. So if this rule is to apply to orders with a total weight ranging from 5-10 lb the maximum weight would be 10 lb.
Base Price: The fee for this range. So in the above example, the base price would be $2.50
+Price Per Pound (optional): This field allows you to place and additional fee for each pound over your range. So if you wanted a $2.50 fee on all orders from 5-10 lb with an additional $1.00 fee on every pound over 10, you would put 1 in this field. This field is optional and no additional fee beyond your range will be calculated if you leave it blank.
Add a New Rule Based on Price
Name: The name of the rule in your store. This is for your records only, all additional handling fees will appear as "Additional Handling" to the customer.
Type: Choose "Price" for price rule
Min Price: The minimum price for the range of this rule. So if this rule is to apply to orders with a total price ranging from $10-20 the minimum price would be $10.
Max Price: The maximum price for the range of this rule. So if this rule is to apply to orders with a total price ranging from $10-20 the maximum price would be $20.
Price: The fee for this range. So in the above example, the base price would be $2.50
