Move a Category

A situation may arise where you need to move a category to the top level or under another category. For example, if you had 3 categories for Mens Shoes, Womens Shoes and Kids Shoes and you wanted to put them all under one category of shoes, you would need to make a new Shoe category and move the 3 categories under the shoe category.

Step 1: Edit the category you want to move

Find the category you want to move and click the icon in the category tree.

 

Step 2: Choose a new parent category

On the Edit Category screen choose the category you want this category to be under. If this is a main category leave the selection as All Categories. If this is a sub-category choose the category you want this category to appear under.

Step 3: Save

Click the save button at the bottom of the Edit Category screen.
