Social Networking

Social networking settings allow you to post news, events and publications directly to your Twitter™ and Facebook™ accounts.

Adding a new social network

To configure social networking click on "Social Networking Settings" in the "Settings" section of the CMS-Logic dashboard. Once in this page, click "Add Social Account" in the upper right corner of the screen. From this dialog select the type of account and enter the appropriate information as outlined below:

Twitter

  1. Input your account label. This is a simple label to identify the account. For example, "Steve's Twitter Profile".
  2. Click the "Add Account" button
  3. You will then be redirected the Twitter site to authorize this Application's use.
  4. After Clicking "Allow", you will be redirected back to CMS-Logic. Your account is now ready to use!

Facebook

  • Account Label - This is a simple label to identify the account. For example, "Steve's Facebook Page".
  • Account Email - This is the email you use to log in to facebook. In the case of a Facebook page, it is the email the page admin uses to log in to Facebook. (Ex. me@example.com)
  • Submission Email - CMS-Logic utilizes Facebook's email submission system to post updates. This submission email is found in two ways:
    • Normal Facebook Profiles
      Once logged in to the facebook website, browse to: http://www.facebook.com/mobile/
      Copy the provided email in the "Upload via Email" section


       
    • Facebook Pages (AKA Business Profiles)
      Once logged into the page owner's account, click on "Ads and Pages" on the left column
      Browse to your page administrator and find the "mobile" section, click on edit. Copy the provided email.


Posting to a social network

Note this requires social networks to be set up (see above). Once a news item, page, or product is active there will be a "Publish to Social Networks" icon in the edit screen. This button will bring up a dialog.

Check the accounts you would like to post the update to. You will be able to customize the message posted. The system will automatically add a link to the page at the end of the posting.

Adding "Share" links to your existing pages, news, events and products

To configure social networking click on "Social Networking Settings" in the "Settings" section of the CMS-Logic dashboard. Check the box labeled "Show 'Share this Page' Section?" and click the update button. A similar checkbox is available in the Store-Logic settings section. That's it!
